Another song from before Loath, but man, I just wanted to hear how it sounded with better mixing. The stylistic left turn may or may not have been foreshadowed in earlier songs. It's kind of satisfying to have a sellout song with minimal screaming and I can finally understand the dickish appeal of that posture (Die Kreuzen, I'm looking at you).
lyrics
What loss that time won't fix
One clock that can't remember
When last its wheelworks still aligned
So take these broken candlesticks
And melt them all together
Until we burn through the light
Shelter in the tempest of an hourglass
Love like a loom can repair the past
If tomorrow never comes
If tomorrow never comes
We'll gather all our yesterdays
In a bonfire bright as dawn
If tomorrow never comes
Until the cold rays split
Like bones the night-black feathers
And beckon bells to chime
I'll go to ground with this:
No faith in blind predictions
I close my grip just in time
Shelter in the tempest of an hourglass
Love like a loom can repair the past
If tomorrow never comes
If tomorrow never comes
We'll gather all our yesterdays
In a bonfire bright as dawn
If tomorrow never comes
