Discharge x Pablo Neruda. There was an archive in Guatemala with information about people disappeared during the civil war. It was held in a police headquarters and got destroyed in a (likely intentional) fire. The security camera footage of the fire is all that remains of the archive.
lyrics
Ribbon and scrolls
Silent as smoke
Redacted
An accounting
A naming of names
Redacted
Scorched and vanished
A weeping wound cauterized
Phantom butchers flee
like wind-blown ash
Redacted
An epitaph to victims razed
Redacted
Widows and orphans
A chance for justice denied
The archive's sole object:
A record of its own eradication
